Walkthrough / Strategy Guide: A.L.C is a chess-like laser combat game that requires two players (no computer opponent). Players take turns distributing up to 3 movement points among their pieces. Each point allows: moving to an adjacent square, rotating a piece, or firing a laser (for cannons). Piece Types: - Cannons (figure icon): Fire a destroying laser. Armored sides (thick bright lines) reflect lasers. - Freeze Cannons (Klingon ship shape): Fire from the broad side, freezing hit pieces temporarily. Frozen pieces cannot move but are easily destroyed. - Octagonal Stampers: Can capture pieces by moving onto them. Come in various armor configurations. - Triangular Deflectors: Deflect laser beams at right angles. Smaller triangles have 2 armored sides and can split beams. - Rectangles with Arrow (One-way Mirrors): Let lasers pass in the arrow direction. Ideal for protecting cannons. - Bombs (squares lying on their side): When hit by a laser, destroy all pieces on the 8 surrounding squares. - Wagon Wheel: Reflects lasers in a random direction. Moving it onto an occupied square teleports that piece to a random position. Special Rules: - The center column has gates that randomly open/close each turn, destroying any piece on them. - Moving a piece onto the center square (while blue pyramid visible) teleports it randomly. - Each piece can only capture or fire once per turn but can move up to 3 squares. - Goal: Destroy the enemy King (diamond-shaped square standing on its point).
