Windwalker Adventure, The

WALKTHROUGH:

SECTION 1 - Getting Started:
Train first to learn attack forms. Kill thieves/assassins for money and food. Buy incense, go to shrine north of 1st village, talk to monk about incense (he blesses it). Read shrine scroll for prayer mantras: Heal my Body, Restore my Honor, Empower my Spirit, Exorcise (fireball). Combat tip: save before fights, press 'q' to flee if losing, reload and retry. Find blind man in front of store, pay him and ask about/buy his shoe.

SECTION 2:
Get boat near shore, sail east of holy shrine to find island with explorer's house. Get map from cabinet (best map in game) and read scroll. Go to monastery (walled circular building on explorer map). Join the monks to get Staff and Robe - follow older monk for one day observing vow of silence, then win combat against yourself. Read scrolls on second story, especially one about Nubia. If you see fisherman's boat, buy 4 striped turtle shells (~10 bucks each). If you pass island with Heron bird, disembark and run into Heron for feathers.

SECTION 3 - Magical Talismans:
Four talismans, each needs special item + striped turtle shell. Take items to Shaman in cave on NW corner of Isle of Dead (approach from NW).

Invisibility - Blind man's shoe. Mantra: "unseen presence"
WaterWalk - Water beetle mandibles (attack beetle while invisible, found in water at Isle of Dead or cavern NE of Imperial Palace). Mantra: "the solid path"
Invulnerability - Sea dragon's scale (attack while invisible + waterwalking, dragons in water at Isle of Dead). Mantra: "the armored one"
Levitation - Heron's feather. Mantra: "on the wing"

On Isle of Dead during full moon, go to cavern SW of Shaman's cave where Tree of Immortality grows. The Panda reveals himself as God of Luck and gives peach seed (needed to win).

SECTION 4 - Killing Enemies:
With invulnerability talisman, enter palace wearing monk robe. Go to back building, march upstairs, defeat warlord (easy with talisman).

On any new moon night (preferably 1st), enter palace (monk robe or secret entrance from water beetle cave). Go to lower right building, copy scroll, go upstairs to astral gate. Wait until midnight, when alchemist enters gate, cast Exorcise at gate to seal it. Return to both shrines, cast Exorcise at possessed monks. Be careful - Exorcise needs full spirit.

SECTION 5 - Saving the Emperor:
Need antidote for "Fu Ma Ren" drug. Take Alchemist scroll copy to medicine man (SW corner). He refers you to 2nd medicine man hiding in cave NE of Imperial Palace with letter of introduction. Get key from 2nd medicine man, open his cabinet, copy scroll listing 5 ingredients:

Rhino horn - Warlord's cabinet in his room (get keys from concubines)
Jasmine flower - From Nubian Princess (bottom left of Warlord's house). Say: "Salah" (hello), "dohnteh" (tea), "pluumfir" (flower)
Seed from Tree of Immortality - Isle of Death (see above)
Gold - Given by explorer when you rescue him from Thief's hideout
Jade - Under the throne in throne room (central palace building)

Take all 5 ingredients to cave with scroll copy from 2nd medicine man's cabinet. He goes home to make antidote - follow and wait. Take antidote to jail (SW corner of Palace, use invisibility to avoid jailer). Open 3rd cell with key Warlord dropped. Give Emperor antidote - Moebius elevates you to "Windwalker"!
